Episode 101: The Coaching Industry: The Good, the Bad & the Ugly

Today’s episode is a juicy one!

In Episode 101, I draw upon my almost a decade of experience in the coaching industry to share my perspective on what I see as the strengths and weaknesses of the industry. I pull back the curtain for the first time on my own experience of hiring coaches: when it worked, and when it didn’t.

Coaching has changed my life, both as a coaching client and a coaching provider, facilitating transformation with others and I truly believe it is a wildly empowering industry.

It offers a powerful process to activate your own power & potential, to move beyond difficulties, to create new perspectives, tore-design your future, and to create more joy, happiness, success, abundance.... amongst many things.

Coaching is all about looking forward - your past is not your future - and coaches are for the large part, well-meaning people that are committed to their self development, who have a genuine desire to facilitate transformation & support. Most come into the industry after changing their own lives and experiencing the power of coaching first hand.

However when I did a poll on Instagram recently 70% of you said you have had a negative experience with coaching, and I myself have had some very disappointing experiences.

In this revealing episode I share what happens when it all goes wrong, and more focus is put on selling than serving.
